Quick answers

Full FAQ →
What is biltong?

Air-dried, cured meat with South African roots. Seasoned, hung to dry, then torn by hand. Not cooked like jerky, and not a deli cold cut.

Biltong vs jerky?

Jerky is usually heat-dried and often sweeter. Biltong is vinegar-cured and air-dried, typically softer, more steak-like, with coriander notes.

Gluten, sugar, or halal?

It depends on each butcher and spice mix, not automatic. Check the product, and ask if you need a firm dietary claim. Filters for this are coming soon.

How do I store it?

Keep it cool, dry, and with air circulating. Don't pack it tight in a sealed bag. Unpack after delivery so it can breathe.
